Counselling Services
Penrith Women’s Health Centre provides comprehensive, trauma informed Counselling services to enhance women’s mental health and emotional wellbeing.
During the COVID-19 pandemic we are providing counselling via telephone and video. We plan to resume face-to-face services as soon as it is safe for everyone.
WHO WE HELP
The programs supports women and gender diverse people aged over 18 years in the Penrith area, who present with the need for mental health support.
HOW WE HELP
Penrith Women's Health Centre provides accessible and affordable mental health support in the form of trauma informed counselling sessions and therapeutic groups.
We regard clients as the experts in their own lives and value the client’s individual past and present experiences. With the provision of a genuine, accepting and empathic environment we hope clients can tap into their own vast resources, competencies, beliefs, values and abilities for self- understanding to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment in their lives.
Counselling at the Centre assumes a strengths-based framework grounded in the understanding of and responsiveness to the impact of trauma, emphasising physical, psychological and emotional safety.
